Conservation at its best!
What is Research Direct?
Research Direct is a program that promotes voluntary contributions for genuine research. Hawaii Ocean Project has been an avid supporter of whale research and education since 1988 and has worked closely with, and contributed financially, to many local and mainland researchers. They’ve made donations of money and resources to many projects. Some of the agencies they have supported in the past are: Whale Aid, University of Hawaii – Oahu, Center for Whale Studies – Maui, Hawaii Whale Research Foundation – Maui and Sal Cerchio – Kauai Humpback Project. They also state that, “100% of all Hawaii Ocean Project Research Direct funds collected will support genuine research. There are no Hawaii Ocean Project director salaries. There are no Hawaii Ocean Project administrative fees. Plus, 100% of all Hawaii Ocean Project gift shop profits will go to the Research Direct Program.” Check them out online at HawaiiOceanProject.com, or call for more information 808-667-6165.
